Duncan is from South Carolina right on the Georgia border, he bounced around in foster care until he got early admission to college and successfully applied for emancipated minor status from the state, to attend Harvard on a history scholarship.
Duncan always wanted to get the real stories behind the history books, he became a freelance war corespondent gaining a reputation for honesty and fair handedness from the units he was attached to. Eight years ago he was approached to work for the DOD directly archiving and interviewing people involved in classified projects and operations.
When the PPDC was formed he requested a transfer to the new Kodiak Island station, after a long fight with his superiors he was allowed to transfer the the academy branch to continue his work to create 'A singular anthology of everyone involved in the Jaeger project'
